Kicking off on Saturday, June 25 in PORTACOMARO<\/strong> (AT) is the 7th edition of MONFERRATO ON STAGE, the traveling festival that combines music and food and wine in order to enhance and increase awareness of the Monferrato (Piemonte) area.<\/strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n

The first of 18 events<\/strong> to be held between June 25 and September 3<\/strong> in various cities in the area located between the provinces of Turin, Asti and Alessandria will see guitarists LUCA COLOMBO<\/strong>, ANDREA CERVETTO<\/strong> and GIUSEPPE SCARPATO <\/strong>take the stage with “NOTTE DELLE CHITARRE<\/strong><\/em>“. Over 2 hours of live music in which the three guitarists<\/strong>, accompanied by Nicolas Megna<\/strong> (drums), Simone Tosto<\/strong> (bass), Michele Lombardi<\/strong> (keyboards), Samuele Perduca<\/strong> (guitar), Ettore Diliberto<\/strong> (guitar and vocals) and by singer-songwriter Francesca de Bonis<\/strong> (vocals), will cover the history of Italian music and great international classics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The culinary specialty star of the evening will be the Monferrino<\/strong>, a salami sandwich also offered in a special vegetarian version, accompanied by Freisa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The wine proposal is curated by the Barbera e Vini del Monferrato Consortium<\/strong>, while, for the third year, the gastronomic director of Monferrato On Stage is chef Federico Francesco Ferrero in collaboration with BMA Ecomuseo<\/strong>. The winner of the third edition MasterChef Italy has designed for each event a traditional Monferrato dish made in a new gourmet key that brings together tradition and innovation. All the dishes offered during the festival will be made together with the local Pro Loco and, on some evenings, also with the students of the “G. Penna” Secondary Education Institute of Asti.<\/p>\n

After the first stop in Portacomaro (AT),on July 1 the festival will move to<\/strong> COCCONATO<\/strong> (AT), where Italian-American guitarist MARTIN CRAIG<\/strong> and Turin-based quartet BLACK CITY<\/strong> will perform, while the food and wine program devised by chef Ferrero will feature Monferrato Tapas Bar<\/strong> tastings paired with Grignolino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Protagonists of the “Words & Music<\/strong>” evening to be held July 2 in CAVAGNOLO<\/strong> (TO) will be EUGENIO FINARDI<\/strong> and MASSIMO COTTO<\/strong>. For this special evening, Chef Ferrero will offer three variations of raw meat and Monferrato salad<\/strong>, served alongside glasses of Ruch\u00e8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first of two concerts made in collaboration with Astimusica<\/strong> will be held on July 7 in Cathedral Square in ASTI <\/strong>: GIANLUCA GRIGNANI<\/strong> will take the stage for a date of his “LIVING ROCK AND ROLL TOUR 2022<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

American guitarist DAVID GRISSOM<\/strong> will be the musical star of the evening scheduled for July 8 in MONTECHIARO<\/strong> (AT), during which the Monferrato On Stage audience can enjoy quinto quarto and tajarin al sugo del riuso<\/strong> accompanied by Albugnano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On July 9 in BALDICHIERI <\/strong>(AT), on the other hand, it will be possible to taste black truffle tajarin with Monferrato salad <\/strong>served by the students of the “G. Penna” Secondary Education Institute of Asti and accompanied by Barbera<\/strong>, while blues guitarist DEMIAN DOMINGUEZ<\/strong> will perform on stage.<\/p>\n

On July 14 it will be the turn of FABRIZIO MORO<\/strong>: the Roman singer-songwriter during the leg of his tour “My voice tour 2022<\/em>” will thrill the audience in the Cathedral Square in ASTI <\/strong>performing live songs from his latest record “My voice<\/em>” (Fattoria del Moro \/ Warner Music Italy) and all the most significant songs of his career. <\/strong>Opening the concert will be the young singer-songwriter MATTEO ROMANO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Grignolino<\/strong> will accompany the Cantaranese biopoke<\/strong> tasting that will be offered on July 23 <\/strong>to the public in CANTARANA<\/strong> (AT), while a DJ set by GIANMARIA COCCOLUTO<\/strong> will be performed on stage. The following evening<\/strong> (July 24), on the other hand, a concert by EILEEN ROSE & THE LEGENDARY RICH GILBERT<\/strong> will be held in BASALUZZO<\/strong> (AL), while the food and wine program will offer a classic dinner between tradition and innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The IRON MAIS<\/strong>, famous Cowpunk band of the Italian music scene, will take the stage at PIEA<\/strong> (AT) on July 30<\/strong> for a special evening during which the festival audience will be given the opportunity to taste ficiuline and salami cooked in the winemakers’ fashion<\/strong> prepared by Chef Ferrero<\/strong> and accompanied byAlbugnano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A new Classic dinner between tradition and innovation prepared by Chef Ferrero together with the students of the “G. Penna” Secondary Education Institute of Asti <\/strong>will take place Aug. 5 at<\/strong> TIGLIOLE<\/strong> (AT) at the concert of ANXIA LYTICS<\/strong>, among the protagonists of “The Band“<\/strong>, the talent show hosted by Carlo Conti aired on Rai1.<\/p>\n

On Aug. 7 in ROATTO<\/strong> (AT), Chef Ferrero will freshly prepare agnolotti<\/strong>, both traditional and lean, to accompany theBarbera<\/strong> tasting. On the stage, however, will be the SYMPHONY ROCK – ASTI SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA WITH ANDREA BRAIDO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the Ruch\u00e8 Festival, the Aug. 10 <\/strong>the vocalist and author STEFANIA DIPIERRO<\/strong> will be in concert in CASTAGNOLE M.TO<\/strong> (AT), while on August 20<\/strong> the live performance of the band SHEFOUND<\/strong> will accompany themusical aperitif<\/strong> that will take place in ARAMENGO<\/strong> (AT). The following evening <\/strong>(Aug. 21), Monferrato On Stage will land in BUTTIGLIERA<\/strong> (AT) for a concert by HILLSIDE POWER TRIO<\/strong>, the local band led by guitarist GIUSEPPE SCARPATO<\/strong>; the culinary program for that evening includes the original Monferrato kebab<\/strong> paired with Ruch\u00e8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A new appointment of “Parole & Musica<\/strong>” will take place on August 26 in<\/strong> FERRERE<\/strong> (AT) and will see MASSIMO COTTO<\/strong> dialoguing with TERESA DE SIO<\/strong>, an innovative and experimental artist, while spectators will be able to taste a special reinterpretation of Fish & Chip<\/strong> conceived by chef Ferrero and accompanied by Freisa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The last classic dinner between tradition and innovation<\/strong>, curated by Federico Ferrero and paired with Freisa<\/strong>, will be held Aug. 27<\/strong> in CASTELL’ALFERO<\/strong> (AT) and will be organized by the Pro loco<\/strong> Callianetto<\/strong>. The musical guests of the penultimate event of the review will be QUEENMANIA<\/strong> &<\/strong> KATIA RICCIARELLI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 7th edition of Monferrato On Stage will conclude on September 3 in FRINCO<\/strong> (AT) with the rock’n’roll of FONZARELLI’S<\/strong> and the gastronomic event “L’aile ou la cuisse? The roast tonchese<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

The Monferrato On Stage festival was born in 2016 from an idea of Cristiano Massaia<\/strong> with the intention of creating a festival resulting from the collaboration of the different realities of Monferrato<\/strong>. The review, whose first edition saw the participation of 6 small municipalities in Monferrato, has grown to 16 participating municipalities in 2019. This project carried on over the years, has taken such a dimension, that it required the birth in 2020 of “MOS Foundation<\/strong>,” a nonprofit legal entity that pursues the goal of creating and spreading a strong sense of belonging of the realities present in the Monferrato area through the establishment of a strongly identity-based social fabric.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2022 edition of Monferrato On Stage is produced in partnership with Consorzio Barbera e Vini del Monferrato, Confagricoltura di Asti, Ecomuseo BMA, Banca di Asti, Vignaioli Piemontesi, Assilab Assicurazioni Asti, Sfogliatorino e Righi, Cocchi Vermouth, Bosso Distillatori dal 1888 and Go. The festival is produced in collaboration with Monferrato Excellence, Sistema Monferrato, Istituto d’Istruzione secondaria “G. Penna” di Asti, Torino-Piemonte World Food Capital, Langhe Monferrato Roero, Attiva mente, BMU Booking and Management and Meta.
